If you like mirrored anything or are looking to glam up your TV Stand, this is a great video for you to watch. I'll show you step-by-step how to add mirror and overlay to the front of your TV Stand for a fraction of the cost if you were to purchase it at the store. This style is very Art Deco. Check it out! Plus, I will share all the supplies you will need.
I recently purchased a TV Stand from IKEA but it didn’t include doors. I wasn’t content with the esthetic of it so I ended up going back to IKEA and purchasing 2 plain doors that could be mounted to the BESTA unit. Once I got the doors, I added glue that is specifically for mirrors to the top of my doors.
Next, I placed my mirror on top and added clamps to the ends of the door to add some pressure while it dried. I let it sit for 24 hours before I moved onto the next step. (Note: Details on where I purchased the mirror and its dimensions are included in the video.)

Be sure to clean the mirrors once the glue dries.
Next, I spray painted the overlay front and back. This is important to do if you decide to paint it.

Once the overlays were dry, I glued them to the mirror using Liquid Nails. Be sure to take your time placing it on top of the mirror. If you accidentally get glue where you didn’t intend to, you can peel it off once it dries (24 hours). The side of the overlay facing the mirror will reflect in the mirror.

I absolutely love the overlays that I purchased and like the fact that you can reuse them again which I did for this project. In the description box of the video, you will see details of where to purchase the overlay.
After 24 hours, I mounted the doors to the Besta TV stand and that's it! Very easy to do.

Happy Crafting!

Love the overlays. Were they purchased at Ikea, as well?

Could you use a third door in the middle? I would want to cover the middle section too.

Love this. I went to the Overlays website, but it wasn't clear. What is the material? Is it plastic? What kind of paint would you use to paint it? THANKS!!
