Mix a solution of "boric Acid , sugar , & water ". Look for their pheromone trail & bait them there.(Google for mixing amounts).

Terro is an effective poison for ants. It comes in a preset ant trap and also in a bottle of liquid version (which is more efficient. ) If you get the liquid, You simply put 1-2 drops on a little square of cardboard that comes with the Terro. It would also help to clean the trail the ants travel on with a strong cleaner (like vinegar) to kill out the scent they follow

I recently tried this and was amazed how well it worked. Mix one cup of sugar, 4 tablespoons Borax, and 2 cups warm water until sugar and Borax are desolved. Soak cotton balls in the mix and place the cotton balls on wax paper. Set out in the areas that you see the ants. Wait patiently and by day 2 you will already see a significant drop in ants until there are none.

I've always had great luck with the little "ant traps." The ants take the poison back to the ant hill and it helps to keep them from returning. I keep them by the dog food in my garage & don't have any issues. It helps to try to keeps spills and things cleaned up and to a minimum as well to keep them from coming in in the first place.

I too love the TERRO ant traps. They work SO fast. But recently someone told me about babypowder. I ran to the dollar store..bought 5 containers and sprinkled it all around the perimeter..fantastic !! It worked so well I used iot all around my homes foundation too ! The one I bought had corn starch in it so not sure if that has anything to do with the way it works but who cares? It works !! And for $5? Great !
