Are you loving all the great burlap projects on Pinterest, lately? I am! I decided to grab one of my favorite wood rounds from Lowe’s and whip up my own burlap art. With my big craft box full of goodies, I started brainstorming my design. In less than an hour, I’d come up with 12 pretty ideas for a Burlap Sign DIY Wreath with Initial or monogram too.
So, to hopefully inspire your next DIY project, I’m sharing all of them. Each one is quick and easy to make. And so affordable. You can make any of these for $10 to $20, including the wood. How fabulous is that? Or you can do what I do, make all of them. I change my mantel decor pretty often. So, these 12 ideas for a DIY Wreath with Initial letters should keep my mantle fresh for the next year. Yea!
I stained the tops and signs of my sign. Let that dry, then added a few layers of white paint. Let each layer dry before adding the next.
Use a fine grit sandpaper to distress around the circle.
Add a coat of polyurethane once you have a distressed look you like.
Cut a circle of burlap smaller than the wood round. Mine is 12". Glue the back edges to prevent too much fraying. A little fray gives it more character.
Now grab your favorite items from your craft box or head to your local craft store to buy a few of those trendy items you've been trying to add to your decor.
This look uses a grapevine wreath and faux succulents.
A handful of easy felt flowers looks great.
Felt flowers come in a ton of pretty colors and styles to match your decor.

Need an excuse to use those pretty bits of Ephemera. (aff) Please excuse the adorable baby hand. ;)
Faux Ivy and a bow for any season or holiday always works.
