How would anyone deal with this DIY done by our Puppy Winston?

After decorating our hall with Wallpaper that took 2 months to purchase.. Another 2 full weekends to hang. Our darling puppy decided he did not like it! We can not purchase this paper any longer as it was a feature paper, basically once gone it was no longer available... Too expensive to redecorate. I am still so in love with this paper. Apprieciate truly would any ideas..... Thank you . Karen Cox

Maybe you could place a chair rail on the bottom parts of the wall and choose a matching color from the wallpaper and paint the bottom part of the wall

I would rake down the wallpaper around the door and paint it wiyh your paper's background color

Hi Karen, sorry about your wallpaper... maybe you puppy liked it too much ;)

I would probably try to first take of the entire strip next to the door (on the side where it was chewed up) and then either a) try to copy the pattern by painting it on (which you would have to be quite talented for or know someone that can paint that well) or make copies of that part/the pattern in order to use transfer medium and apply it directly to the wall (the wall would have to be painted underneath and probably sealed afterwards).

You could also try and have it printed on premium paper that you can then attach to the wall like the wall paper.

I know that all of that might not be easy or a quick solution and would definately still look different than the actual wallpaper, but I image it could give it a nice touch (and it would be cheaper than re-decorating). Oh, and I would get the puppy a few more chew toys ;)

I like your idea!! You could take a picture where there are no obstructions and take it to Staples. I have seen them print out some huge copies. I think you could even take a sample of the paper that is already damaged (the poor little Winston didn't know any better ) and they might be able to match that too. Oh, heck steam a piece of the paper off and take that in for them to copy. Silly me and my take a picture idea! Well, I hope they can do it for you. I just found this https://www.spoonflower.com/create it is not cheap but you love what you love. Seems like if the pattern is discontinued you could use them. Good luck!

Hi Karen.....wow! I feel your pain here. If you can't get the wallpaper anymore, you don't have much choice other than to redo the entire room....or....if it were me, and I loved the paper, I would go for removing the paper on both sides and above the door since that area is almost a separate "wall." Then I would pick my favorite shade from the paper, and paint around the door to make it look like an accent wall. If you can salvage enough of the paper to cut out some of the flowers you could frame them and hang above or to sides of door. Good luck....and keep that sweet little doggie out!

I really like the idea of salvaging enough of the paper to frame or decoupage with. Great Idea & would look good over the door.

How about beadboard wainscoating on the bottom portion of the wall? This would be more durable and could be applied directly over the remaining wallpaper.

Take the paper down from the one wall where it is torn and paint it a complimentary color to the paper. Just that short wall where the door is. It really is lovely wall paper. I can feel your pain as my puppy is fond of redecorating.
