UPDATE: I HAD NO IDEA HOW POPULAR THIS POST WOULD BECOME AND HAVE HAD SEVERAL QUESTIONS. I POSTED AN UPDATE ON MY BLOG: http://sanderandprayer.blogspot.com/2014/01/laundry-room-reveal-its-finally-finished.html I tore out 70's paneling and made a wall from old fence panels. We also tore out two ugly windows that were nailed shut, a bi-fold door going into the kitchen and replaced a french door with a solid wood vintage door. For more pictures and information about this reno please visit my blog! http://sanderandprayer.blogspot.com/2014/01/laundry-room-reveal-its-finally-finished.html
Lime green paint and paneling. These pictures are mid-reno
Cool 1920's siding on the left and 70's paneling on the right. The laundry room used to be a screened in porch.
My home was built in 1910. We have the original beadboard ceiling and the siding. So, 1970's paneling had to go. I wanted to do something different so I used salvaged fence panels for the wall.
I added an antique window that I found on craiglist for 30 dollars
I also found this vintage window on craigslist for 20
This is the only original window left in the house. It looks into our living room. Instead of covering it with a blind I used frosted spray paint.
The screen door was another 30 dollar craigslist find. It goes into our kitchen. Before there was a beat up bi-fold door.

Thank you SO much for sharing! It really is a very cool room. Love all the colors and the lightness of it. Great job done!

my over 200 yr old farmhouse also has lime green paneling on the living room walls...covering what i believe to be horse hair plaster that's in extremely rough shape. My kitchen was also lime green paneling,i had to paint it before we moved in,just too much lime green for me to live with. Now it's what i call big bird electric yellow, with a soft butter yellow color over the top,...I used it & a sea sponge to try & break up the knock your eyes out of their sockets bright yellow...and it worked wonderfully.
