What can I do with Fancy Feast plastic food containers?

We are kindred spirits! I too have been known to hang on to things with no obvious use at the time. There are some people (my family) who tend to complain about this but they are not visionaries like we are! I had an immediate thought of making some kind of cute game for your kids (or kids you know). Something involving decorating with stickers and using an item to toss into the tubs and points being earned with appropriate rewards I assume.

In lieu of that how about some new inventive votive holder (LED votives of course). Not so much a holder as a decorative cover. Glue them in a square shape and then decorate how you see fit. You can spray paint lightly or use stickers and make silhouettes. If I think of anything else I will let you know (I tend to dream about stuff like this). Hope this gives you some ideas of your own because mine were not very good!

Just a thought but why not paint them with a plastic friendly paint, punch a hole in each corner & string them together (you can by plastic chain as well) about 10 to 12 inches apart for a cute little rain chain to be suspended from your gutters. I'm sure the elements will get to them eventually but it could be a great kids project. You might want to poke some pin holes in the bottom of the pans to help with drainage so you don't have stagnant water standing between rainfalls.

Depends where you live and if they do recycling..here in th U.K. We are very serious about recycling and on the bottom of the container there are marks, triangles with a number inside..depending on your areas recycling rules that'll tell you what to do and google your area tip.

we use ours to put dry food out for our cats. We also feed several stray cats and we put dry food and water out in them. Since they aren't huge its less noticeable then putting big plates of food out and less waste too.

I have poured melted candle candle wax in them before and placed two small wicksin center. then store in a ziplock bag. When ready to use them just pop them out of the container and you now have a floating candle to use in a center piece.

They make excellent seed starter trays. That's what I am doing with mine.

make wall art... hot glue them hollow side down in rows to a foam board and then spray paint with milkglass or metallic paint, frame and voila. The point of the art would be the texture. My inspiration comes from the city musuem in St. Louis which is a treasure trove of recycled art projects. A pic of their loaf pan wall is below.

I have saved my white square cat food containers. I intend to print up pictures of family members and glue them on the bottoms. Then on a large blank wall, sketch a tree and place the pictures in generational groups. Children, grandchildren, grandparents, great grand parents. It will help children to understand all the parts of the family tree. After a wedding or a birth, just ad a new branch.
