DIY Wooden Tree Swing

When my son outgrew his baby swing we had in the front yard, I knew it was time to build hime a simple wooden tree swing so that he could still have a fun place to swing in our yard. This project is SO easy and quick, and it's incredibly affordable to boot! If you like this project and want to see more, you can see all of my easy & affordable DIY ideas here.
Start with a piece of wood cut to approximately 7" deep by 16" long. You could go longer, but this seems to be the "standard" wooden swing size. You'll want to use a type of wood that's durable and can withstand being outside - I'd recommend cedar. Drill four holes in the wood, one on each corner, and thoroughly sand and seal the board.
Take your rope and tie a double running bowline knot around the tree branch. If you check the full post (http://loveandrenovations.com/2017/05/22/diy-wooden-tree-swing/), I have links to more info about the knots used on this project.
Next, thread the rope through the holes in your swing and tie a fisherman's knot with 5 loops;
Finally, use a ziptie or rope clamps to attach any extra rope to the swing (so it doesn't flap around). And then, get to swinging!
