I'm sure that's something you can find at Home Depot or Lowe's.

You can buy textured paint, or make your own. You can add a cup of clean sand to your deck paint or sealer. Be forewarned--you can't make it look smooth and shiny. But you can make it safer, and still shiny. Over time, the sand will be worn down in busy areas, but you can reapply. Best wishes 😇

Behr makes a wonderful deck paint, especially if your deck is weathered and slippery. We've used Jewell's recommendation of adding sand to our son's deck to prevent slipping on the aged wooden steps.

There is a paint sold at Lowe's for that exact purpose. I used it on my wood deck when I lived in TX and it worked great! I'm sorry but I don't remember the name of it. It comes in a nice selection of colors.

Speak to someone in the paint dept. at your local paint store - HD, Lowes, Ace - because I had the same trouble when my son painted our walkway and I almost fell and broke my knees. Had to powerwash and start over again.
