Tomatoes splitting is caused by lack of water. Water your plants at least every other day and be sure you mulch them well. This will hold in the moisture
Are the they splitting on the vine? That would mean they are getting too much water and the inside is growing faster than the outside

Yoo much water
I would agree with too much water. If it's from heavy rain, there really isn't much you can do. If it's from overwatering, then cut back. They won't ripen on the vine, either, if they're overwatered.
