We bought a liquid faux etch kit and were pleased with the effect. The nice thing about it is that when we wanted to do something different it washed off.
Gallery glass makes a clear paint for windows. Just smear it on with your fingertips and let dry. Looks like old fashioned pane glass and it just peels off when windows need washed and then you can put it right back on
I put a stencil I liked on the window and then sprayed on a paint finish that made it look like etched glass. Worked out really nicely.

not sure I understand the question, but there is a spray on solar shield that blocks the sun...think of reflective silver sunglasses....there are a variety of window paints and glass stains...peel and stick decals...many options exist
I have used plain old elmers glue...I used a paint brush and played with different designs on the window. Air will dry clear as long as you do not get it to thick. and it's easy to remove if you do not like it...just use a 1 edged razor.
