How to repurpose Solar lights?

I have solar lights in my yard, some are still lighting up after several years. Is there something I can do with the ones that have quit lighting up?

    Change the batteries

  • Check the batteries, most can be replaced or recharged.

Sometimes mine get dirty around the solar panel and need a good cleaning. Others I've just replaced as they are inexpensive. But for more expensive ones I wonder if they just need new bulbs? I'll have to look into that!

check the battery, if not working still clean the solar panel on top. if all else fails then will obviously have to get new ones.

I agree with cleaning off and replacing battery if possible.

Replace the batteries and they will work. The solar cell recharges the batteries. Cleaning the solar cell will help if its dirty.

Dot Cain-Gelwick - Once clean and new batteries you can accent your yard by attaching them to you fence of to brighten up a yard sign, place them in the trees. On Pinterest they have added them to Mason jars for porch accent.

Dot, I have cleaned mine with just dish soap (always Dawn ) and water . The top just comes off, clean well , dry, replace . The batteries may need replacing though and you can get rechargeable batteries at Walmart .
