We spend half the year in Mexico and there are mosquitoes here that love me!

I purchased some essential oils here in Mexico and made my own natural mosquito bug spray! It works great!!!!

The oils were hard to find in Mexico but I found them at small health food stores.

What you will need:
A small spray bottle preferably dark colored to keep the solution away from bright sunlight which keeps it from getting rancid. I recommend a glass bottle. I could only find plastic for this post.

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons Boiled Water
2 Tablespoons Vodka (or 100% alcohol)
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil (or any natural oil that is liquid such as vit. E oil)
30 drops of Citronella Essential Oil
15 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Here are the steps:
I purchased 100% pure citronella and lavender essential oil. Use the best oils you can find!
Gather your tools.
I boiled the water. I've read you can also used distilled water.
Add all the ingredients into the bottle one at a time. Shake the bottle between adding each ingredient.

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons Boiled Water
2 Tablespoons Vodka (or 100% alcohol)
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil (or any natural oil that is liquid such as vit. E oil)
30 drops of Citronella Essential Oil
15 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

You make a small batch so it doesn't go bad. It's easy to make!

Next, shake all the ingredients, spray on and smell the nice aroma of citronella and lavender!

Depends on the size of the batch you make. I use the Eucalyptus as the main oil for mine and about 1 3rd of the other oils

I would like to make a large batch to give as gifts on a destination birthday party. What would my measurements be to do a much larger batch?

What size spray bottles did you use for the amounts you did make in recipe?
