What is a good sealer for a kitchen countertop?
I just got this huge roll of burgundy and gold paperillusion at my local thrift store for $2.99. It works in 3 easy steps. Tear in pieces, dip in water, lay down and smooth out bubbles. Glue is already on the back. It is made to be removed with warm water, but I want to put it on my kitchen countertops and put a sealant over top so the water or hot pans won't ruin it. What is a good sealant that could be used that won't ruin the paper when I put it on? I only have a small countertop (the ugly green) so its not a lot to cover. Also what is good to level out the countertop as the previous tenant used it as a cutting board?
