Should I put something in the middle..maybe a word? Leave it alone?

Yeah, I think you need something in the middle. Either a word or some kind of symbol, but make it plain, like black or something, so it doesn't take away from all of the color. Very nice!!

what about a dimensional item? maybe some sort of prism? this might sound weird but maybe a mirror?

As an artist who has extensively studied composition... leave it. Reasoning... It is the central focal point and all the lines direct your eye there, yet keep your eye also moving around keeping you engaged. Once you place a word in a painting or piece such as this, the brain looks at the word and ignores everything else and wants to move on to the next painting or piece of art.

I would put either an oval, circle, square, or triangle painted design in the center. I think maybe the oval would work best.

I love it, but I think that the white is too much of a contrast. I think the white areas should be painted a neutral color just to tone down the white. Maybe a light tan or grey.

I think it needs something in the middle for sure.
