My fiend got a new puppy and wanted a stand for his water and food bowl. I said I would make them one.
I ordered some bowls for Amazon and found a scrap of wood to set them into. I positioned them equal distances from the ends.

I used a compass to draw out circles for the bowls to fit into.

I cut the piece of wood in half through the circles
With the board cut in half it made it much easier to cut the half circles out. These could then be sanded.

The two halves of the circle could now me glued and clamped back together.
The top needed a frame around it so I marked out and cut 45’ angle on 4 pieces of wood to form the sides.

First I glues the sides on
Then I held the sides in place with some nails and a band clamp.

I cut down 8 bits of wood for the legs. I then drew tapers onto them.
I cut the angle on the bandsaw then clamped them together in the vice. I could then sand them all together.

Two of the leg pieces could then be glued and nailed together to form one leg.
When all the glue is dry the legs can be glued and nailed to the under side of the frame.
The last step is to give it a sand down and then finish with a food safe oil.

No questions, just wanted to tell you I really liked this. Should last a long time as the pup grows. Would have loved this when I had 2 pups at the same time!!

    Thanks for sharing!!

Very cute -- but I have neither the tools nor the man! I'll have to buy mine!

Treat yourself...Hardware, tools and paint are now my favorites on my gift lists!! And a man? Pfft, a nice accessory, but not a necessity...LOL (I am happily married, but that was not always the case. I did many, many DIY's while single)
