Saw this plant at the Ann Marie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, Solomons, MD. It appears to be a natural ground cover of some type and has similarities to foliage found on certain types of cedar trees.

I know the plant, I am from MD ,we used it to make wreathes at Christmas, it is a runner, & it keeps the green I am sorry but I don't remember the name , but it is a healthy plant & would need to be kept in tight as it could also be a take over plant if not watch ,You could most likely get a start out of the woods , just be sure to get root with it , it grows wild

This is referred to as Running Cedar or Southern Ground Pine (Diphasiastrum digitatum). It is here in Central Virginia as well.

Yes, I have seen it in the woods in southern Wisconsin. Looks like it would be lovely in a fairy garden.

I like the look of this-never saw it before in Jersey, but I'm moving to Georgia and would love to have this growing against or near my home. I'll look for it there.
