I've tried vinager soda dawn soaking dental tablets toothpaste & various cleaners with magic sponge. Any ideas as what else I can try?

    coke cola

yes, that might work. It works on a lot of other chores. I have diet & regular coke. I'll try both. Thank you for the hint.

Try this: put warm water, some raw rice and a little dish soap. Let it sit a few minutes then shake it up really well. The hard rice seems to work magic on water marks. It worked for me with an old vase and may work for you. Use enough water to have room for shaking, a drop of soap to help loosen things up and enough rice to work but not clump (like a tablespoon of rice for a quart container/vase). Oh, don't use instant rice or and hot water or it might cook!

I'll try this now since I have everything here I need. Thanks so much! I almost missed this suggestion, glad I went back to review. : ))

Have you tried Finish like you use as a rinse aid in the dishwasher?

    • Sue Sue on Jun 21, 2017

No I didn't think of that! Such a great idea. If my other suggestions don't work out I sure will try this. Thank you for taking the time to help me. Fingers crossed for good results.

Try Cascade or other dishwasher liquid. That might help if it is a residue. If it is etched, nothing will help.

CLR will get it clean. Follow the direction on the bottle and make sure to rinse well when you are done.

    Hope that helps

Thanks, that's one I didn't try. It just might be my solution!

      Thanks for your suggestion.

It may be that the class has been etched so nothing short of repolishing will remove the "water stains". I'd suggest testing by trying to scrape off any residue. If that doesn't work, you could try a clear sealant inside the vase to disguise the marks

Thank you, I'll try scraping lightly. I appreciate your suggestion.

Good luck! I take tarnish off brass, waterspots off vases, you name it. I never knew that stuff was so handy outside the dishwasher!
