I would clean it and then paint it. Look for concert paint in Hope Depot, Lowe's or paint store. You will find awesome colors to pick from.
Do you want to paint it or dress it up?
We used a spray-on stain. Looked great for quite a while. A friend used slate tiles. Looked fantastic. Much more expensive, but depends on how big your slab and your budget are.
If you buy concret paint, maybe plan a design first. You can do geometrics, or make it look like a braided carpet, or paint florals. The ideas are endless.
A spray on stain is really easy and can look amazing!
You can paint or stain, and even with a pattern. I did an awesome diamond block pattern using a chalk line with various pastel colors. There is some coating products you can use to protect the painted surface from sun and weather damage as well.
Paint with concrete paint. Use an outdoor rug. Plants, flowers. Can you put up posts with a lattice? Windchimes on a shepherd's hook. Pretty pots and planters. Have fun!
Pressure wash it to make sure it is very clean, then use concrete paint to paint a faux rug in the middle. Make it cute and colorful and have fun with it! Arrange your patio furniture around it just as if it was a real rug.
I'd power wash it first. Then apply 2 coats of Rustoleum concrete paint. I purchased mine at Ace Hardware and was very pleased with the end result. Be sure to allow proper drying time between coats. Best of luck.
