Are there any ideas for using wire coat hangers?

Question

My husband takes his shirts to the dry cleaners and we have an overabundance of the wire coat hangers. I would like to use them in some clever, decorative or useful way.

I donate them to our church when we have our twice a year yard sale. They can hang clothes for display and give the hangers, too. What is leftover from that, we give to our local Goodwill, so they can hang clothes. In between times, I stack the wire hangers and give them to our local cleaners, since that is where they come from.

When I was in girl scouts, we learned a kazillion ways to use wire hangers in our arts & crafts projects.

We took wire hangers in vacation Bible school and did the first knot in macrame the whole way around the hanger. We used different colors of yarn. They are nice for sweaters or shirts. No dents in your clothing.
