A few years ago i made my elderly cat a ramp from a 1 by 10 and jute dog traction. I ran it parallel to the end if my bed, so it didn't stick out into the room.

I wonder if a step stool made for children would work.

you can buy doggy steps on eBay amazon or at any number of retailers. The q is how much space do you have for them. Your problem requires a little more information to give a solid answer but it isn't a hard one to fix!

Most pet stores sell stairs made especially for this purpose. They come in wood or plastic and can be set at the end or side of your bed to allow your pet easy access.

We have a very old cat who can no longer get up in her in favorite chair. We were able to get a plastic 2-step stool which is the perfect height for her. Also, I've seen foam steps for smaller or older animals at the local big box stores or in some of the many catalogs mailed to our homes.

My dog is little like your, I bought a storage bench for the end of my bed my dog can jump up on it then onto my bed. It is great for storage and my dog will even sometimes sleep on it!

  • Took me a few minutes but this is what you might consider. Put carpet remnants on the steps for additional traction.

You can get pet stairs online but some dogs don't like them. I think the idea of putting carpet on them for traction would certainly help. Your little doggie is adorable by the way!

I have a set of steps that one of my dogs uses to get into bed. The problem is that he will not use them to descend and instead makes the long jump to the floor. I'm certain that is not good for his back or old bones! I'm going to install a railed ramp and teach him to use it to enter and exit the bed.

I bought steps for my yorkie and she would not use them. I had this square storage ottoman I bought years ago at Walmart for about 15 dollars. She uses that to get in bed. ( I have to use it too because my bed is so high off ground )
