DIY Painted Tree Rings

Easy
I love having a natural element incorporated into my home decor. I also love adding colorful details to my home. So to combine both of these elements, I collected tree rings from a Christmas tree stand and painted them using bright, fun colors.
They came out exactly how I wanted and look great hanging on my wall, not to mention they were very inexpensive! It's hard to not want to put them everywhere!
To achieve this look, I used a mason jar lid to trace the outer circle then free-handed the other circles.
For an alternative look, I painted only the bark of a few tree rings.

Love this idea- What about one step further and making a wreathe out of them for indoors or hanging in a sunroom or so forth. Could you also do a photo transfer on these?
