Hello everyone! I moved to an apartment with a built-in space for a Tv in the closet. I do not have a Tv in the bedroom so I don't know what to do with that space!! Its always messy and makes the bedroom appear messy! I can't drill holes to add shelves because I'm renting the apartment. Help!!

Hello Mariana :) How about some shelves tucked in to the space to provide you with multiple levels to arrange your things on? or even stacking some labeled boxes into the nook, since it is in a closet, so you can store things that aren't used everyday or even weekly?

Hi. I would buy clear bins (the shoe-sized kind) with lids from the dollar store and stack them on the shelf. You could store everything from your shoes and sneakers, to socks and undies, bras and tshirts - you name it!!

How about putting cushions down and adding a light and make it a book nook for reading/relaxing?

I had the exact same situation in my guest room so I built a Murphy desk for it. Sorry I couldn't find a pic with it opened, but the top section of this drops opened and the "picture" frame becomes the desk legs. Closed....it's decorative with the phrase " my house, your house" on it.

You have a power source for the TV, so you could put some plants in there and plug in a standing grow light. There are a lot of low light plants that would be perfectly happy in a little nook like that.

How about doing seasonal topiaries? If your a crafty person you can make different potted topiaries for each season to display them there. If you don't want to make them you can go to craft stores & buy them. Then maybe if you celebrate Christmas, you could put a small Christmas tree there!

I think plastic bins, that stack to store things in would be best. You could hang a pretty curtain over it so that it would not show....use a rod that wedges in between the walls to hang the curtain on. There is a name for the rod but can't think of it.

2 things could be done, first maybe a vanity,a mirror to fit the back, hang a pretty small chandelier, and a pretty tray. Another, make a frame same depth as side walls to fit just inside( keep the mirror on the back)add selves attached to the frame, slide it into the recess.

How about pretty baskets that come with a frame so you can slide out? You could store a lot of stuff in there.

I like many of the suggestions so far, but my answer is entirely off the wall... why not just let it be messy and cover it with a tension rod and nice curtain?

i think adding a mirror in the back wall and place a tray would th handles at an angle and place pretty thing on it as a display will pop that area and find new draw pulls
