    they seem to do well with an occasional dusting of crushed alfalfa pellets added around fhe base of the plan before a watering. The alfalfa is rich in nitrogen. You can also make a tea with the pellets and use this for watering.

    In my case, don't buy them...but you might want to feed them well, apply a systemic food/ pesticide. They thrive better in full sun..

    You need to cut back correctly. 1. deadhead when bloom is done. 2. Always cut back to the five leaf shoot. 3. always cut back just above where the stem branches into a 'Y'. Also maintain good watering regime at dusk or dawn. Roses are very individually self centered. Each one either loves and flourishes or goes into a coma in the place you plant them. If they do not do well from the get go, it is not the spot for them.

    Bayer 3 in 1 product every 6 weeks. Either granular or liquid form. Epsom salts 1 TBS per gallon of water. Slow water drip to get to the bottom of root system is the way to water a rose bush.
