Find a spot in your yard that gets enough sun. You can put a border around it mafe from standing pallets, but not necessary. That's it: a pile in your yard and follow the composting rules of layering material, what food scaraps are acceptable, etc. Good luck!

Any large box, barrel or container that you can 'turn' the compost material by shovel or anything that will turn or mix it. Even a large trash bin with a lockable lid can be rolled to mix the compost. ***Add worms to it, you can buy them online. or at some garden centers/nurseries.

Probably the best ones are above. And adding worms to it is a good idea. Nightcrawlers aerate your compost, and red wigglers (pink or red and about 3-5 inches long) will compost your compost quicker: they eat as much food waste as they themselves weigh. Red wigglers do best in 3 feet of soil, so they might be all you need.

Red wigglers produce an egg about every 2-3 days, and there are about 20-25 babies inside. Potted plants also do well if you put a few red wigglers in the pot.
