I'm a big fan of red front doors . Traditionally , over the centuries , a red front door means all are welcome .

Red or yellow; take a brick in to get the perfect shade that complements the masonry.

I'm with the dove gray. And can you paint the bench? That could be your red statement colour.

  • My vote is for a soft coral with a soft light dove gray for the trim, and then paint the trim on all the windows to match. Paint the bench and a few pots to scatter around the front porch area too for accent. Yes, I am always the odd one out. Paint the porch light gray too and if possible change to a motion dectector type fixture, or have the finish of the porch light match your hardware on the front door.

I would go for a pale orange or coral color to pick up the terra cotta color in your brick. Trim in white to continue to brighten the space.

It appears that your door and side lights are already painted light gray; it looks good that way, as it matches the grout in your brick. The black trim on your "storm" door screams for a bright color. I agree the new door color should match new window trim paint I also agree with others who suggest a warm, bright shade chosen from your brick. But instead of painting your beautiful bench, how about just placing 3-4 potted flowering plants on it that match the color you decide to paint the storm door/ window trim? I see you have a little fairy creation underneath your bench! Sweet.
