Are you trying to get rid of the stain in the grout? I would thoroughly clean the tiles (use something like a bleach solution and a scrub brush). This is to disinfect and remove any mold spores. Then I would simply regrout with a dark complimentary color as it will make the tiles pop and cover any stains that remain. So much more effective than trying to paint the tiles.

I'm trying to find the best cost effective way to change the color!!! I don't like the pink! I'm looking at either painting or replacing it totally (both the floor and around the tub wall).

The titles can be painted, but any moisture will cause the paint to peel. I would not recommend it.

Yes, the ugly pink can be painted . It does need to be cleaned properly first , and you should consult the person at the store for which paint to use but it can be done .

Hi Nitina, your tile looks like it is a natural material? We very successfully painted our cheap plastic tile and it has lasted remarkably well (white part). A good paint store could answer your question. I think with the right primer any thing can be painted. Problem might be with collected moisture in room.

Painting tile is not a good idea. The clean up when it starts to peal is a bigger problem that cleaning the tile/grout. Above suggestions are both great.

I like the color...very neutral. Will go with anything. Once you paint the tile, what do you do in the future when you change your mind? I would clean it up - particularly the grout - and see what you think then.

Painting is not recommended but you could always try it. If it's in the tub surround that won't work because it will peel. You might want to bite the bullet and just remove and replace the tile. It's really not as difficult as it seems especially when you are taking down existing tile. In terms of value and cost, you will be more satisfied with your results. If you want, you can replace shower with a pre-fab surround over the tile or take the tile down. You can also do a wainscott to replace or cover the tile on the walls. But the floor....well, I think the best bet would be replace.

Hi Nitina, yes it can. It's all about using the right paint and preparing the tiles really well for painting first. Here's a great video that will help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYkCuIAJca8&t=114s
