First you have to clean it, of course. Many other hometalkers have posted projects painting patio floors (or in some cases this link shows inside floors) I searched hometalk for paint patio because it showed more ideas than paint concrete patio. I'm sure you'll find one that is concrete and will discuss paint type, but there are so many beautiful ones painted in designs that I wanted you to see as many as possible. You can do this!

    Hope that helps.

  • Ditto! Clean first, power wash or dawn and a stiff bristle long handled push broom will do too. Make sure to purchase the correct paint too. Have fun!

I'd power wash it with chlorine. ($5.00 bucks at Ace) Let dry. Fill/repair any cracks. Paint the patio with Rustoleum driveway/patio paint. It's great paint. I've done several carports and patios and they all have held up very well. Best of luck.

We removed decades of dirt (that would not come off with other methods) on our cement patio when we power washed it for the first time.
