Have you tried just pressure washing it? If you have and you aren't pleased with that, you can always paint .

The original paint was applied to wet or uncured wood that had not been sanded prior to painting. You should remove the drip edge and pressure wash to remove the loose paint. Then you need to wait for a period of dry days. Then you need to get up there and sand down to fresh wood, following up with a tack-cloth to remove dust. Then apply a good primer and let it dry according to package directions. Then apply your chosen paint; I would recommend 2 coats with advised drying times inbetween. Pay attention to the drying time, and re-applying time from the paint manufacturer.

OR, you could call a professional and have it wrapped in pre-painted aluminum, but you would likely be sealing in potential wood rot.

You have fungus/dryrot in the roof eaves. The metal flashing shows nails on the edge, which should have been nailed from the top side and been installed under the roofing. Looks like someone is trying to hide more damage below the metal flashing.

Looks like that cheap siding that is made of sawdust and glue and it has absorbed moisture. It really should be replaced with either wood or metal. Whatever the problem, it won't be easy or cheap. Consult with an expert who offers financing or contract payments.

I believe each one of these Very helpful people have the right idea. I can add one more idea, after you use these helpful ideas. If you have the regular roofing that trailers have (in other words Not shingles) you can coat the roof with a White

roofing sealer/paint. This will lower the cost of AC BIG TIME!!! It will also seal the top edge of the flashing. We purchased ours from Sears but by now you should be able to find it at a building supply like Lowes.

Is it PAINT? or Some other Material? it Looks like Tree Branches have Hit it to Cause Damage to the Coating. And the Top Edge that has Sunk In Looks like Rot Below the Grey material. ... So If it is Paint then Use a Sander and Sand it Back to the Wood. If it is Tar Paper or a Rubberized Product then Replace it with that. Use Silica Sealant in Any Cracks (Any Flexible Waterproof Sealant. .Use Bondi Fill or Epoxy Resin in the Rot Area After Scraping Out the Soft or Rotten Wood .then a Touch of Wood Preservative Paint to Cover what is Left and Prevent the Rot from Spreading. or Buy Metal Flashing ..Lift the other Metal Flashing Carefully Slide the New Metal Flashing Up under it (measure the Entire Width This Way the Metal will Take the Impact of the Branches .not the Wood Paint it Once it has Weathered .... Before it Starts to Rust But Use a Sealant at the Top Under the Lip As you Nail or Screw Down the Top Flashing Screws Maybe Better as the Nails May not Grip in Holes the Same Size

Had the same issue and had to replace the exterior siding and flashing. We also had to have a roofer come and make overhang eaves to prevent more damage to the roof and overhang. If you have insurance you may need to file a claim because it will be expensive. Good luck!
