The Easy Way to Clean Your Shower Head

Americans tend to shower every single day, but most don't clean their showers every day, let alone their shower head! I think we all kinda assume that since only water comes out, it can't get that dirty, can it?

Well, overtime it builds up crusties - mildew, hard water stains, hard water spots, calcium, etc. - and they can start to block the flow of water.

Here's the cleaning tutorial you need to easily remove all that junky build-up and get that water cascading down as intended.
Start with a nasty shower head, like the one I have pictured above...
Lower the shower head as low down as it will go, place the smaller Ziploc bag around it that will fit, and fill up that bag with just enough vinegar to have the whole face of the shower head sitting in vinegar.

Pull it tight, secure with a rubberband or twist tie. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then remove the bag.
Scrub the shower head with an old toothbrush, making sure to get in all those little nooks and hole and crannies.
Once all the buildup is removed, dry with a soft clean microfiber cloth and then marvel at your beautiful shower head!

Also, you may want to run water through it to remove any lingering particles before you jump in the shower again.
