what about something hanging, like a jewelry or shoe holder?
Not bad, will definitely give it some thought. The only problem is I want to be able to set it on a table. Not that I am pickey or anything!
Same concept, and they add a little hook on the end so you can close it up and take around.
This is called a spice stack. I have about 4 of them and use them for various things.

I have dealt with the same issue and finally settled on an underbed storage container with handles and wheels (cheap at Wal Mart). I lay my paints labels up and sorted by the color wheel. So far, I like it!
