Drop the baggage and save the memories! Instead of weighing yourself down with souvenirs make some adorable magnets from your favorite maps.
Watch the video or read below for details.
Get a map of your choice. This can also be small pictures or even decorative paper!
Grab a glass floral stone. You can purchase these from Michaels or any other craft store. Make sure the back of the stone is flat.
With a pencil, trace the shape of the stone on the desired area of the map.
I highlighted some of my favorite neighborhoods in New York City.
After you trace it use a scissor to cut out your traced area.
Using Mod Podge or any decoupage glue of your choice and "paint" the front of your map then adhere to the back of the glass stone and let dry.
Cut a portion of your magnetic strip and using E6000 glue the strip to the dried map.
Now you have your magnet!

My question is why couldn't you cut the same size of glass onto magnets then glue onto the back of picture.?
