Howdy!
Time for a pineapple for your outdoor theme or kitchen. This project was actually a challenge my friend asked me to do with the stipulation it all was to be made from my DT haul. I already had a large green fern in storage, but the way I crafted this; no need for it because I teach you how to re-purpose the flowers and leaves you already purchased in the haul. Nothing wasted. Here is a short step by step but the video link provides all the steps.

Finished product.
Two surf boards- one chevron ribbon roll-pipe cleaners-eight to nine sunflower bouquets-spanish moss-hot glue-wire cutters-floral wire-scissors and a little bit of happiness ;)
Make your first piece and when you are satisfied, trace it on the next foam board and cut, then glue all around. I did use two pieces of duct tape just in case. I have never worked with a pool surf board before lol.
Tear the Spanish moss into tiny pieces and cover the entire front. Press down with something to flatten the moss. Get ready to cut some floral wire pieces for the next step which is laying down the gold pipe cleaners in a pattern.
Secure all pipe cleaners with the cut pieces of floral wire.
I started in the middle to see how the piece is divided and then worked my way from the bottom on up. I placed a flower in every diamond pattern and all along the sides and bottom. I used eight bouquets.
Now to make the top part use the left over leaves on all the bouquets, remove them, and place between six to eight of them on a stem. Glue the top with a dab of glue and you have your sprigs. I had a large dark green fern in storage so I used it. I didn't have too-I had enough sprigs to do with the sunflowers. You could use the leaves to cover the back of this wreath, or cardboard or even use an old placemat. I am not selling it, so I left the back the way it was.
Now make your bow, trim it. This can go outside in a covered area, or indoors. Up close, you can see some of the gold pipe shining through. Unique and no one has made one like this, until now. Think outside of the box. Use what you can on hand to save even more money. This one is huge. Over 24 inches. I did glue a pipe cleaner on the backside to hang the pineapple with.
Close up. See video for all photos.
Thanks again!

When you say surfboards, do yo mean some sort of foam flotation device? (Boogie Boards) I'm from California and surfboards here are very large wooden boards. I know they don't sell those at Dollar Tree.

I love sunflowers so I like it. I live just outside of Charleston, SC and the pineapple is their sign of welcome so I consider it doubly nice. Thanks for sharing
