Make a Burlap Flower Wreath
I'm not sure if any of you remember the gorgeous SUNFLOWER WREATH that hit the internet last year? Well it was an instant success!
Thankfully, the lady who made the wreath Julie from Julie Wreaths Boutique (she sells these wreaths on etsy too!) was so kind as to share another wreath tutorial on the Grillo Designs Website ..
So here we go - A PRETTY DAISY WREATH tutorial.
This is an abridged version of the
These are the materials Julie used to make this wreath.
1 – roll of 10 inch white poly burlap (or whatever color you want for the base of the flower)
1 – roll of 10 inch green poly for the leaves
1 – 10 inch wire wreath frame
15 – white chenille stems
1 round 10 inch felt circle to cover the back of your wreath
3 inch zip ties
8 inch zip ties
1 yard of natural jute burlap
Rotary Cutter and Mat
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
1. First you will cut 5 pieces of green poly burlap at 11.5 inches long
2. Gather in the middle to form a bow tie
3. Attach to wire wreath with a zip tie to make leaves . It should end up looking like this
4. Now cut 30 pieces of the white burlap into 10 inch pieces and attach in the same way
5 . Stagger your petals in between the outer rim petals stacking two petals on top of each other.
6.he last set of petals will be attached to the inside of the wreath form where the brackets meet on the wire wreath frame. Make sure to attach 2 petals for each space.
To prepare for the middle of the daisy wreath you will need to cut your jute burlap into 16 inch by 11 inch rectangles. Julie made a video to show you how she put the Daisy swirl together (click link below)
