Weed or plant
I have two groupings of these and I'm not sure what they are. I don't see any buds yet. Weed or flower?? Anyone recognize them?
Not sure, looks to be a vining plant of some sort. Weeds are plants whether we like them or not. If you are adventerous, let it go for a while and see what happens. Give it a trellis to grow on.
looks kind of like a moon vine. Gets big white blooms in summer that open in the evening. Hummingbirds and BIG moths love them. It loves the sun.
I think they're Morning Glories that come up in your gardens and attach to everything.
It looks kind of like atype of Morning Glory called a moonvine...it looks like it has rounded leaf tops sort of heart shaped, yes? If it gets too much full sun, it may get sunburned. Most vines like that are really tough to move so, yes, give it something to climb on and watch how it grows. You'll know if it likes you or you like it. I love them but I', in mostly zone four (Wyoming). I usually try to give it a little break from HOT afternoon sun.
i always had problems with this weed in my garden. to me , it is an obnoxious weed. i live in s.e. michigan.
Looks like a morning glory to me. In some areas it's considered an invasive weed. It can be extremely hard to eradicate if it gets established.
If it developes a flower that is similar to Morning Glory, but slightly smaller and a pale pink or white, it is probably Bind Weed. It is pretty, but it literally strangle surrounding plants.
Squeeze one leaf. Is it smells bad?
Wear gloves and pull it out as soon as you see it! Don't throw it in a compost pile for it can root again. This is a very invasive, poisonous plant so don't burn it either, the smoke can be toxic/sickening..
