Cleaning dust-What's my best way to clean this?

Freshly painted den, kitchen, new cabs. Today a granite/quartz guy came to fix the sink hole which had previously been cut crooked. So a layer of fine quartz dust is all over the place. What's my best way to clean this?? Should I just swiffer? That doesn't seem like enough
Well I would swiffer with the electrostatic clothes, and then wipe with a damp rag and floors with a damp mop dunking it frequently to get the dust into the bucket.
i would take a vacuume with a hand held brush atrachment To it.
Old cotton rags and hot hot hot water, wring out and go over everything, including the walls.
I would vacuum everything first. Pushing the dust around with a cloth might leave tiny scratches if the dust is abrasive.
When our children were little we were doing alot of remodeling. I was concerned about all the dust. Some one told me about this home made solution that picks up the dust like magic. Add one tablespoon of liquid automatic dish detergent with one cup of boiling water. Stir. Then add the cup of water with the dissolved detergent to a gallon of water. Clean with a rag or mop. Keep any unused solution in a jar or container with a lable in place & keep it out of the reach of children. The dishwasher detergent may irritate your skin, so wear plastic gloves when you clean. This solution is made for cleaning up lead dust, but it works on any kind of dust. Just remember that sweeping or vaccuming just spreads the dust.
I use staticide diluted as directed. They use it in military installations to clean/prevent dust because of the danger of static electricity and weapons ;) I buy the big non diluted bottle and mix when I need it. They sell it in janitorial supply stores here in Las Vegas because of our terrible dust problems. It is also available on Amazon. BTW the static electricity after construction here in the desert is horrible. This stuff stops it!
Dust first and next vacuum. You have to start vacuuming at a certain point and finish it other ends. Always follow a straight line.

I would start with a vacuum and then I would use a damp rag, rung out to almost dry and wipe to catch all of it. Then dry if necessary and avoid anything that could get ruined by the dampness.
