My friend accidentally spilled nail glue all over her phone screen and she can't just pull it off, otherwise her screen will come off.
Thanks in advanceicon

  • Yikes! I can see that happening. Has she tried taking the phone to her local store and see what they suggest? I am not sure what to use that wouldn't damage the phone.

I know this was posted a long time ago but I wanted to say on at least one of these forums if it will help people out- if you are like me and came here looking for help after having the same problem do not do what people are saying and use nail polish remover or the likes it only made it worse- then I remembered what my mum uses on everything to get permanent marker and the likes off- hand sanitiser-it almost instantly repaired the damage the acetone did, and it took a while of soaking and scrubbing with my nail but eventually got it off within about 10 mins 😀 hope this helps someone

Hi I know this was pretty long ago as well haha! But recently this just happened to me and I can’t seem to rub a lot of it off my phone screen with my nail. You said hand sanitizer works for this ?

To remove nail glue from a telephone screen, you can try the following steps:

    1. First, let the glue dry completely. This will make it easier to remove and will reduce the risk of damaging the screen.
    2. Once the glue is dry, use a toothpick or a small, sharp object to gently scrape away as much of the glue as possible. Be careful not to scratch the screen.
    3. If there is still glue remaining on the screen, try using a small amount of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to dissolve the glue. Dampen a cotton swab or a cotton ball with the alcohol or nail polish remover and gently rub the glue until it is removed.
    4. If the alcohol or nail polish remover does not work, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution, such as grease-cutting dish soap or a commercial screen cleaner. Dampen a cloth or a cotton swab with the cleaning solution and gently rub the glue until it is removed.
    5. Once the glue is removed, wipe the screen with a dry cloth to remove any remaining cleaning solution or residue.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wipe the remaining nail glue stain with the acetone-dampened cotton ball. Continue to wipe as the adhesive softens and lifts from the surface. As the glue is removed change to a clean cotton ball and continue to wipe until the nail glue is gone.

Dampen a clean cloth with warm water and add one drop of mild soap. Squeeze out excess moisture from the cloth before wiping the surface of the phone to remove the acetone. Rinse the phone by wiping it with a damp cloth then dry with another cloth.

OK so I just tried the hand sanitiser trick on this tiny bit of nail glue that has been on my phone longer then 6 months and it worked glad I saw that tip thank you 😊
