Did you know that you can order Dollar Tree items on-line? I ordered the mirrors with gold frames and plan to do this project.
Have there been any issues over time with the mirrors falling off?
She used construction glue so doubtful.
I tried this mines didn’t stick it’s been drying for 3 days now I use heavy duty liquid nails and no more nails . What do u suggest
Try loctite or that E6000 stuff plenty of the glues have epoxy that should work good. For the one you hang on the wall she used duct tape before she stuck a backing on it.

Decoupage is a traditional paper craft – the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts. The word decoupage comes from the French verb decouper, ‘to cut out’. It was in the 17th century that the craft reached its height of popularity with aristocrats, noble ladies as well as the more humble practitioners trying out the art of decoupage. Today, decoupage remains a popular craft with far reaching variations and many crafters’ use decoupage to add dimension to their work.Lets look at an up cycling project today using this versatile technique.
Inspiration can strike at the strangest times. I was sitting at the bus stop waiting for my daughter to get home from school when I decided to clean out my car. I opened the center console and spotted a bag of wooden beads. Doesn't everyone have them in their car? I held the bag for a second an immediately thought, carrots!
I found two of these night stands on my local Facebook marketplace and even though they were in rough shape, I decided to get them because it's hard to find a matching pair!
I've created a couple Easter crafts this year, but this one is my favorite because it focuses on the true meaning behind this special season! I'm have various book stacks in my home also, but this was my first time creating a "faux" stack using a crate instead of actual books. I loved the result!
I planned to use an Easter themed paper plate with the words “He is Risen” that I had found recently at Hobby Lobby, to make a grapevine wreath for a challenge. The grapevine wreath reminds me of the crown of thorns that Jesus was forced to wear during his crucifixion. And so I think it is appropriate to pair it with the Resurrection themed paper plate.
I don't know about you, but I have tons of scrap wood and this little project was a great way to use some of it up! We made rustic wood lanterns for our mantel.
We were asked by some very special people to make them a kitchen island. They just finished renovating their entire kitchen and needed a table and island in one. Since we knew them I knew exactly what her style was...rustic! I knew she would love a barnwood top and I was going to find some! Look what happened next...

Who doesn't love a great thrift store find?! Whenever I get the chance to go to the local "Bargain Barn", I am never disappointed. This time around, I found a large mirror on sale, but I wasn't loving the frame. Nothing a little paint and elbow grease can't fix!
Nowadays they don't seem to sell the type of headboard that I'm looking for. They are too small, come with a head and footboard, or too bulky. For a smaller room I can't have something as large as what I could find in a store or online...and then the price is crazy. So as I was putting drapes up in one room I knew I had to get rid of a ton of blinds. They are in good shape so I really didn't want to just throw them out so yes......I stored them. I'm glad I did because it hit me...shiplap is all the rage right now...and with all crazes, it will not be as cool in a year or two, so why pay the price for the wood when I can do it out of blinds. They are perfectly level, no warps, knot holes, etc. Plus the best part is that this headboard will not weigh a ton and need to have huge wall anchors to attach it.So away I went to the proverbial drawing board. What can I put these slats on? I want to keep it light...foam board. I got 2 packages (a set of 2 so 4 total) at Walmart for 3.50 each set. I only needed 3 foam boards but it was cheaper this way. Plus, I'm thinking of making a second one for a gift if this turns out the way I hope.I used just about everything that I had on hand in the house. If you needed to buy all of these items your cost would run about $40. And that includes purchasing some horizontal blinds. So here we go.....
My love for tea cups was sparked by my Nana, who gave me my first cup, a pink china cup, with gold inside on my first birthday. I still have it!

I spotted this method on Pinterest awhile back and was so taken with the results I just had to have a try. To keep it simple I chose to do a Shou Sugi Ban picture frame as my first project. I have a bad habit of diving in feet first and biting off more than I can chew, so I kept it simple. I was looking for a new picture for my bedroom and having lived in South Africa most of my life, I love the African bush. So my idea was to have an African bush scene that is framed in burnt wood. If you have never heard of Shou Sugi Ban it is a method of burning wood. There are a few ways to do it such as leave the wood all charred, black and cracked. Or you can remove the black and have a natural wood colour.
I found a couple of vintage mirrors at a flea market about 2 years ago. And I decided that I wanted to use one of them on a blank wall in my guest bath. But I thought it needed a little embellishment. So I stenciled it!

Are you loving the vintage clay pottery trend as much as I am lately?I must admit at first I wasn't too sure it was worth trying. But soon I realized how easy it could be with just a few things you can find in your garage or even right outside your house.Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel happen to be two of my favorite places to find high quality decor, and occasionally I get lucky and find things on sale but these vases or vintage clay looking vases do not come cheap. Honestly though these two retail home stores are great to walk through for home decor inspiration and so I'm that person just strolling the store for all the inspo. These DIY vases were in fact inspired by Pottery Barn this time around. And I gotta say I got lucky when I found these two second hand vases, because they were exactly what I was looking for in size even though at the time I didn't know it yet. Sometimes you just happen to be in the right place at the right time.

The cupboard you see was this 🤏close to ending up in the trash. Well, maybe not trash but taken apart and used as firewood. It would have been a shame as someone had meticulously handcrafted it 100 something years ago! That´s when I stepped in and gave a new life to this old piece of furniture by transforming it into a coffee/wine station for the kitchen! Doing so I greatly improved the storage and made it look pretty cool actually. What do you think?

Spring break gave me the time needed to complete my latest project.I’m pretty excited about this piece. Not only do I get something for my bathroom wall, I discovered a nifty new way to make a basket that may come in handy in the future.
I tried that but most of it you have to buy huge quantities. I finally found the smaller sized mirrors but all had different color frames, this is for a different project but very much like this one. Anyway I was going to order them but everything said you had to order large numbers of each item.
