Camouflaging fuse box

Looking for ideas to cover/camouflage a large fuse box that currently stands out (in a bad way) on a wall downstairs. It sticks out a bit and I can't permanently cover it, as I'll need to be able to easily get to it when needed. I'm thinking something that would hang out a bit from the wall and would be fairly easy to take down as needed. We're upgrading the room and I don't want the grayish colored fuse box to ruin the look. I'm not very crafty so I'm hoping to come up with something fairly easy to do but that will also look nice on the wall there. Thanks!

Paint the same color as the wall so that it blends in.
That's an idea, thank you! I considered doing that, but it's pretty large (about 36" high by 15" wide) and even if painted the same color it won't look like it blends in. I don't want it to still look like there's a fuse box on the wall there.
Paint the same color as the wall . Then hang a pretty frame around it . Use magnets to hang pictures of the children , dogs, vacation , etc.
Can you try hinging a picture or a shadow box over it? If so, be sure to "create a gallery" with other similar items along the same wall if you can so it doesn't stand out among them. If it's low enough, consider adding a shelf above (or below) if that seems fitting.
Camouflage is a good thing (not literally, unless you like that kind of thing... it's the idea of camouflaging the box among the other photos/images). LOL Good luck. Those things are a total pain in the backside.
Also, I just "googled" it - there are some great images and ideas out there...
I would just paint it as adding anything around or on it will draw attention to the box,which is exactly what you are trying to avoid
We had the same problem when we finished our basement. We framed the fuse box with 1"x2" oak and then attached an oak cabinet door. It still stands out about 3 inches from the wall but at least it looks like a finished cabinet.
Check out photo places online like Shutterfly and have a photo put on canvas. Or buy any wood frame canvas picture and install it with hinges placed in the back where they won't show. Check out hinges that automatically have a spring so the frame will stay snug against the wall. Add molding if the wood frame isn't deep enough. Wayfair.com has large canvas prints. Walmart has beautiful displays of canvas art at great prices.

I hung a painting over mine.
We got a small rug with native american print on it, sewed a seem at the top, put a small dowel through it, wrapped some cord around it and hung it over the fuse box.
I did that with a picture and used magnets. Works well!
this is what I did to a non functioning one! I know people say you should not cover the boxes, fire code! But my new box is in the basement and if this box still work this would still be the cover
