I bought a lovely white hutch about 4 years ago. My first choice would have been a vintage one but this one was just the right price. When I got it home it was just to white and clean looking. It really did not go well with my Romantic Flea Market Farmhouse design. I got brave and here is what I did.
Can you see that this sweet hutch is so bright and white and just a little to perfect for me.
I felt it truly needed a change.
Here are some pictures of how it looks after I used Vintage Market Paint on the hutch. I used a texture from this company that gives a great chippy look to the paint. I also used fabric from an old Simply Shabby Chic quilt on the backing. I love how it turned out and how it looks with my blue and white transferware for the summer.
I had some vintage pieces of wallpaper and I glued them to the door and drawers of the hutch. I used mod podge to stick it on. The look is amazing!
Here she is all completed and I just love the look! She fits right into my chippy distressed decor!
For some reasons the pictures got out of order. So sorry about that. Here is the hutch all dressed up and ready to be filled with pretties!
