Go to www.GrowVeg.com which discusses 3 reasons why tomato blooms do not result in tomatoes. Briefly, the 3, reasons are: 1. Insufficient pollination. 2. High heat or humidity, or lack thereof. 3. Not enough fertilizer, wrong type or lack of same. The article continues to go into greater detail for each of these reasons. Very interesting article!

Shake the tomatoe plant. Toms are self pollinating. Can't do a thing about heat or humidity.. but do get a fertilizer that specifirs for tomato. The magnesium in epsom salt will help set the blooms. Bone meal, garden lime will add exra calcium to prevent end blossom rot.

Did you over water, or not enough water? This has been a very diff. summer, and a very hot one too. I really can't say, why the changes in the produce, tho maybe the plant needed to be put into a diff. larger pot to give it more room, to expand in the roots. I keep mine on the porch, and it gets the morn sun, and early afternoon sun. This area, has had a very hot summer, so we must care for them in a very diff. way. Take care, J.

Make sure they have enough water and have mulch to keep them from drying out too much.

I agree with Dfm. Your blossoms are not getting pollinated. A tomato plant will only yield 25% of its ability if it isn't pollinated. You can flick your stalks on each plant so that it self pollinates. If all your blossoms get pollinated the plant will yield 95% of its ability. Some people hold an electric toothbrush to their stalks to create pollination. I just flick mine. Its the vibration that does the actual pollination. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
