I know Honey.......Ya got yourself a male neighbor next door. Guys are always willin' to give ladies a helpin' hand. Don't be afraid to call on your neighbors, they are watchin' over you and you don't even know it. Don't ya have wash tubs in the cellar or basement?

You may be able to drain it into a drain in your basement, if you have one. We bought on that drains itself.

run a hose from the dehumidifier to your yard.

Hi Shui, the hose would have to go upstairs and not sure if water would make it that far.

most dehumidifiers have a screw cap in the back. You unscrew the cap and screw in your hose. Run the hose into a drain or sump pump. If you have neither, run it outside. Never have to empty the bucket again. I did this twice, in 2 homes. It works.

Hi Kathy, thanks for reply but no sump pump or wash basin. I wished I had one. We have these very small windows and wondering if I put dehumidifier down near WI down if water would go up to window and out. Would have to drill hole on window frame or near it. Would water go up & out?

Most homes do have a drain somewhere, even if it is where the drain hose to the washing machine goes in. Try to use that. My husband uses that sometimes to drain the water out of one of our ro buckets that he uses to fill the salt water aquariums because he knows that the hose won't jump out of there, vs coming out of the wash tub all the time.
