I've wanted to change my backsplas! It's old & outdated! My husband doesnt want to do ANY changes to it!
So I have to be able to put some kind of beautiful easy, white. He's a man that doesn't think I can do anything!
Oblivious its Ugly as all get out & breaking apart! Ugh!

Look into self stick tiles at the larger home stores. What I did: My tiles were out of date. I slathered tile paste right over the existing tiles and placed "stone" tiles on it. Small stones connected by a netting on the back making the tile 9x9 or 12x12. The tiny stones were connected by netting on the back. Also, small elongated pieces came separate to finish off. You pull these off the netting. Then I slathered grout all over. Followed directions and wiped off access. You can get all this info and help at Home Depot, Lowe's and large home decor stores. It was my FIRST time and it took a while. It came out awesome and so natural. Good Luck.

Or you could use stick on tiles, that will stick right over those and then are not permanent, they sell them at Lowes and Home Depot:

If its breaking apart , you probably can't paint it or put anything over it that will stay in place . I'd show him just what a woman is capable of and chip off the ugly old back splash yourself one day when he's gone . Once you have a clean slate to work with , the sky's the limit .

I'd love to have that slick shiny look, because the color (as you can see is AWFUL! Is there something I could get to pull & place in there? 😈😈🙄🙄😂

Get some beadboard, paint it with satin or semi-gloss paint, cut the pieces to size and stick it right over the tiles with Liquid Nails. You can trim it out with painted wood molding. Or you could just paint the tiles.
