Weary of making your own Laundry Detergent? I'm here to tell you that it's super simple and three ingredients is all it takes to whip up your own batch of Homemade Laundry Detergent.

Mix equal parts: Borax, OxiClean, and Super Washing Soda.
If you've been on the hunt for recipes for a while now, you may notice there's no GRATING required!! Seriously, shake and go my friends!
We found we only use 1.5 tablespoons per load (a couple extra scoops for extra dirty clothes). That's no typo, my friends... really only one and a half tablespoons!

How many loads can I do, how much does the recipe make so I can see the cost/savings

@Rene Scott Schmeltz For the recipe above, just add the ounces together for whatever size boxes you use. There are generally 2 Tablespoons in an ounce. I know that's for liquid measure not weight, but you can do some checking. Try checking a small box or half the box to see how many ounces it measures (not weighs) and compare to actual ounces on the box. I use a different recipe which has more ingredients, but to compare, it makes 504 Tablespoons. I mixed it up in early August, gave some to both my daughters, and still have quite a bit left. We only do about 8 loads a week now. http://happymoneysaver.com/making-your-own-laundry-detergent-worth-the-cost/
