  • I purchased a specialty ear cleaner for my dogs and gently use it on some cotton swaps. other products (like hydrogen peroxide) can irritate animals.

mneral oil or baby oil. Soft cloth. Be wary of q tips...they can push the wax down into the ear cannal.

Olive oil and aloe, on a soft cloth. For a large dog, dampen a wedge of the cloth with both oils. Swipe into the dog's ears, like wiping out a small glass. Only if your dog has an ear infection should you put any drops down into his ears, and that's if a vet tells you to. If you are shampooing the dog, do that first, dry the dog, then clean his ears with the cloth. For a very small dog, only put the oil-dampened cloth around your pinkie finger. If you see pus or larvae or anything else strange, contact your vet. If your dog's ears are clean, then wrap your dog's head with a cloth for an hour, if possible. Just to catch any more ear water or oil. Best wishes 😇

  • I have a solution that I purchase from my vet. I squish their ears closed at the base, squirt some stuff in and scrunch around the ear. Then wipe their ears clean.

I use pre-packaged ear wipes that come in a small canister. They work well and are easy to use. My dogs all like having their ears cleaned.
