Using straw may be cheaper. You will still have to keep the mats clean.
Look for for old conveyor belts and do it yourself.
I have a friend that uses them...She loves them.
My friend used old wrestling mats with the cover off they were free and put regular stall mats over them works great and easy on her older horses
Found this article that wasn't favorable from a customer.... https://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/forum/discussion-forums/around-the-farm/275194-warning-do-not-buy-softstall-advantage-stall-mattress
I use the regular stall matts , you can easily get them at TSC. They are heavy and cushy. I've had them installed for over 10 years and most of them still look great! Do not use conveyer belt, it is very slippery when wet and not nearly as cushy. I also found they tended to warp more easily.
These are the ones I use (and they have them on sale at least a couple times a year). https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/utility-rubber-mat-black-4-ft-x-3-ft?cm_vc=-10005
