I needed some lights to go above my Island Bench, and everything I could found was overpriced, so I thought I'd make it up myself!

Enjoy.

Check out the video, it has all the details, and goes into greater details!
First job it to get the slant of the roof right, don't have a flat roof, so I got out the spirit level and got a straight line.
Then using my cut off saw, and some cheap pipe, I got to cutting all the pieces to size.
Then laying it all out, and cutting the edges so they line up.
Then welding time.
Still learning TIG welding!
Grinding it all flush.
This is the top plate.
And using my angle I got before, I welded it all in place.
Then some filler to make it all smooth.
For the wiring, I pulled apart some cheap bed side lamps, they were from kmart, so very inexpensive.
Then epoxied in the fittings.
Paint, and hug the lights.
And the pendant bits!
And we have light!

Who taught you to do all the things necessary to accomplish such a task?

Sure wish my father had stuck around long enough to teach me how to fix cars ...

I just fixed the slider glide on another bathroom cabinet drawer. Yea for me!
