Thank you to all who answered my earlier question. More than one person recommended a product from Sweden called Boma(sp). I live in Belize Central America and will not be able to find this product. What natural ingredient(s) can I use to clean and maintain my new varnished wood floors?

I have always used Murphy's Oil Soap. It's for wood and works wonderfully.

How is this? Fix a quart of warm water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar and a squirt of dishwashing liquid. Dip your sponge mop in the mixture, then squeeze most of the liquid out in the sink. Mop your floors with this almost dry mop. If the floors get wet, they may eventually buckle. The dishwashing liquid will remove dust and dirt. The vinegar will make the floors shine. Hope this helps. Best wishes 😇

See if you can either rent or buy a steam cleaner...best way to clean wood floors.

I mop with warm water and white vinegar. After reading Jewell's post about adding a squirt of dishwashing liquid I'm trying that, too. But do try to get most of the water out of the mop.

Bona is the best IMHO. You could order from Lumber Liquidators or Amazon.

I just use plain water. Even Bona leaves a residue, I find.
