Make a Fruit Butterfly for summer gatherings...
1. Materials needed.. Paper lace doilies. Heavy Duty Reynolds wrap, Cardboard box. I used a box from my local market. 24in. by 19in. Assorted fruits of your liking. I used, lemons, oranges, kiwi, black & green, seedless grapes, strawberries, & blueberries. Color is what matters, a monarch butterfly is very beautiful.
2. On the opposite side of the box, I centered it, & drew out my template. I wanted the butterfly to fit the box perfectly. I'd need, 1 body, 4 wing sections, & 2 antennas
3. Cutting my Reynolds wrap pieces to fit the template.. I cut just a little bit wider, to make an edge for the fruit to sit in.
4. Turning the box around, I lined the inside with the paper doilies.
5. Placing the pieces in their spots, I dabbed a small amount of hot glue on the underside, to secure them.
6. Situated the fruit pieces inside the wrap. LOOK at the colors! The fruit covers all the wrap edges. I added a small bowl of fruit dip on the side, with some picks & It was the hit of the party!
