  • Most of the paints on the market today are pretty good. Just make sure the container says "washable" on it. I would Google and research brands before purchasing. I am partial to a proper paint store rather than what is sold in most major home improvement stores, although I have used them in the past. My preferred method to paint is to wash the walls, let them dry, tape off, prime and paint. When I was a kid we were not allowed to run our hands along the walls, but things have changed. When they get old enough, teach them to paint - and let then repaint your house!

We love Behr Premium Plus Ultra! It has held up to our three grandchildren (as well as their grandfather) for three years. Easy, wipeable walls, baseboards, etc. I couldn't be happier with this paint. The price may be a bit higher than others, but it does contain primer and paint, and it lasts and continues to look great no matter how many times you clean it. Check out http://www.behr.com/consumer/how-to/interior/how-to-prepare-a-room-for-painting. This site discusses getting the walls ready, colors available, guidance on the types of Behr paints to use. Very informative website.
