I can't say enough about this floor lamp. The time put into it is totally worth it. It took me about a total of two hours to put it together and it cost me way less then what the leading brand name stores sell similar ones for.
I used common wood from home depot (2.5 width x 8 ft long) I believe it's $1.68 per board. For the base of the floor lamp I cut my edges at a 10 degree angle to make sure when I secured the legs they slanted inward.
Before putting together the base I lay it out evenly and used a ruler to mark a line across the center to make sure my dowels go in evenly.
Then I drilled holes as evenly as possible and inserted the dowels. Don't forget your gorilla glue.
Following that I attached my legs with screws and secured it at the top to a 2.5" x 2.5" block of wood. Don't forget to drill the hole for your lampshade wiring. icon That's it. Check out my video below. icon
